tornado sirens usually means theres a tornado in the general area. shouldnt you be going inside and not outside |

LOL Our Basset Hound (Romeo) does this too (Even when he is indoors) In fact, he howls at loud music, Fire trucks, police sirens, my singing, the t.v, almost anything that he gets annoyed at. I highly doubt this is animal cruelty (that makes me laugh) Seriously, makes me wonder if any of the "nay-sayers" has ever owned a basset hound... ITS WHAT THE DO HOWL!!!! LMAO |

bassets(and other hound breeds) are more known for howling. My dalmation doesnt howl at the phone and she walks away from my comp if oscar is on there.
she "sings" along with sam when he howls at the fire alarm thou.
iv known some dogs to never howl or bark or growl. |

this isnt cruelty buzzybee. He/she would run away if in pain. bassetts are very smart. My bassett(Cross) howls at the phone, at the fire alarm, the icecream truck outside, oscar the boxer on youtube :-) |

Do you know anything about Bassets? If you did, you would know they are infamous for howling at anything and everything. I own a Basset and I can tell you that acollyer's dog didn't appear to be in pain. You can usually tell if they are happy, responding to something or in pain. Perhaps you should do the research. |
