COMMENT IF YOUR CAIRN HAS SIMILAR TRAITS TO MINE:
1. He likes humans more than dogs, and strangers more than family
2. When the bell rings, he barks/cries continuously
3. When we throw a ball, he will run up to it, but walk back without touching it
4. He isn't cuddly. If you invade his space, he turns away
5. He lies down with his hind legs out, like a mat. He also lies down in a stretch position, with his butt sticking out
7. He thinks he is one of the big dogs, and is the leader of the pack. |

Too bad terrier "descriptions" read or sound too much like "sales pitches". :/
All the terriers I ever had was given to me by people that couldn't take their craziness any longer and seemingly "un-trainable terrier brain".
I tell people "you either like a terrier personality or you don't, get a poodle". LOL :D |

What's not to love? Even when they don't listen and are VERY stubborn they are so funny you cant stay mad at them. My cairn is the best and my own personal clown. LOVE MY CRAZY BUG!!! |

Smart, loyal, and full of life. They are wonderful dogs (but you need to train them properly...). I've had one for 10 years and my family has had them for over 30 years. Loved every single one! |

I absoulutely fell in love with this breed! My Cairn is called Big Ben and I guess he's a typicall example for this breed: He's very very funny and intelligent and he loves chasing the tennis ball ;)
I love him so much and I can't even imagin a life without a Cairn - they're an amzing breed!! |

My Cairn, Boom-Boom, is an amazing one-dog family pet. Around other dogs she can get very aggressive. It is very unusual, one moment she is playing and loving on the other dogs, and the next she attacks. When she plays with humans she can get a little rough so I understand why it suggests older children. |
