besides the fact they were bred to hunt in packs...a solo dog of any breed will have a hard time against a mature boar. Theyre tough as nails and strong to boot. Dogo's were originally bred for hunting in packs and to hunt over a long distance tiring out thier prey. They were/are one of the few breeds capable of keepign up with an adult puma over rough terrain for long distances. |

I usually catch hell for saying this I believe,and I hunt hog weekly,that Dogos are overrated as hog catching dogs. The ones I have seen in south Texas in general do not hold very well. I personally use pitbulls and most of the guys I know use pits and american Bulldogs, they are just much more reliable when it come to holding/catching. Just my opinion and I have hunted 1,000's of hogs. |

dogos hunt boar and puma and they get cut up pretty bad while theyre doing it so they usually wear cut collars and vests but theyre usually just catch dogs u still need some hounds or curs to track the animal down and bay it |
