Actually no dogs are born with cropped ears unless its s type of cartilage defect . They are usually trimmed when they are young. Also there are trimmed because they are working dogs not to better their hearing.It was to protect their ears from the game they hunted and also used a war tactic to keep enemies from having something to grab or hook on to. All dogs can hear unless born deaf. Its been a practice for many hunters with working dogs. Hope that helps. |

@BenBen153 stupid ass they are born with docked ears, their ears are made so they can hear noises without the interference of the droopy ears. my friend has owned one since it was a puppy. her name is diva and my 250 pound father couldent hold her down. they are bred to be the ultimate hunting and guard dog. |

Anybody that don't know the truth about ear cropping! It is a purely a "looks" things. Has nothing to do with the hearing or any other of that garbage. Most all show dogs have something done that is supposed to enhance the looks, no differnt than you and i getting our ears peirced, or tattos. They dock the tails of Doberman, Poodles, Boxers, what is the differnce, Not cruel if done by a vet. |
