@CookiesfromOaxaca If you give your dog treats, try to give him healthy ones, like carrots or apple slices. Most dogs like those. I also measure my dogs' food to make sure they don't eat more than they need. Dogs that are overweight can get sick just like overweight people do and it shortens their life span. |

Looks like a very sweet dog. I bet he likes to sleep. I feel so sorry for them when I see them. Their ears look so long, like they need to be protected from dragging on the ground, and their short legs and long bodies make them appear to be so helpless. |

@guitarfuckist They don't all just sit there and "look stupid" Bassetts are wonderful dogs! We've adopted 2 and they are the best friends anyone could have. Yes, they are very lazy but they are smart too..they know exactly what's going on around them...they just think they're in charge :-) Even if you didn't adopt a basset, glad to hear you are adopting another animal, way to give a great animal a second chance. |

Beautiful basset! When you have a nice tri-color like that people will want him to breed theirs. Since bassets have a lot of weight 'up-front' you may have to help the female handle that girth. Makes the female happy and Dumbo would be walking around with a big shit-eating grin for days! |
