I myself have a pit bull and he was abused as a puppy the owners wouldn't feed him and even thou he suffered going hungry he's the sweetest thing I've ever met he's a great dog my 3 yr old cousin loves him pulls on his extra skin on his face and plays with his tail pitbulls are the best dogs. Ever blame the owner not the dog |

yeah... when i found out pits arent actually a breed and they can take your dog away based on head/jaw size in proportion to muscle on the body, i was shocked... so any dog with a large enough jaw that looks muscular is suddenly illegal so that means bullmastiff/presa/fila and a few owners arent even safe, someone can point and shout "pitbull" to the police and youll have a hell of a time proving it isnt... |

@MrDenizen It's not the pit's fault that it's stronger than a lab, they needed to be strong for bull and boar baiting. saludahead head is right, many of Vick's dogs are now therapy dogs. Leo is one example. You think because a pit bull LOOKS like it's gonna kill you it would? Cujo killed dozens of people. Are you afraid of St. Bernards? And I know you're thinkin, Cujo's just a movie. @MrDenizen Wah, wah, wah! Did you know over 70% of the dogs put down as "Pit bulls" have no pit bull in them? In one situation a mutt so unlike a pit bull es said t be one because a policeman had shot it. Later at a press conference the officer was heard to say that EVERY dog the police shot was declared to be a pit bull! Lies, Damned lies, and Statistics!

@PittiesLuver "Did u know more people have been bitten by labs than pits?" I can accept that, as there are more labs than pits... however, pitbulls cause more damage than any labrador is capable of. They were bred to fight, therefore have no place in modern society. I stroke a few staffs/pitbull crosses where I live.. they have an adoring look in their eyes.. there's also a killer glint as well. I'd happily put them down myself. They have to go. |

@teawithcupcakes pit bulls are NOT aggressive by nature. I've never owned a pit either, but I have such a passion for them that I took it upon myself to educate myself about them like everybody should. I've known these two pit bulls, Recon and Sadie, since I was like 6. I never got bit, they never even jumped on me. And besides them, I've been around tons of pit bulls, while at a PARTY, with all the family dogs their too. We never had a problem. Educate yourself. |

@MrDenizen All dogs clamp. Pits were just bred not to let go. They were never bred to be aggressive towards people. U ever seen stock footage of dogfights? There's always a handler in the pit w/ the dogs. That pitbull is so loyal to its handler that he's willing to die for him. That all it is. Just as loyal as a lab, sheperd or what ever people consider "the perfect dog." Did u know more people have been bitten by labs than pits? Read up. Start with something easy like Pit Bulls for Dummies. |
