Keep telling yourself it prevents infections, even though the dogs floppy ears actually prevent foreign objects getting in and causing an infection. If your dog swims, cropped ears allow water to pool inside which can then get infected. Circumcisions ARE a form of mutilation UNLESS performed for medical reasons. Ear cropping has no medical benefits. Just admit that you're doing it only for reasons of vanity! |
