@DihydrogenMonoxides I've read many times, big dogs are usually stubborn and self-confident, cause they know, they're strong. If you can make a dog feel, you're the strongest, then it will obey all your orders. Komondors are just as good for body guard jobs as other famous dogs. The best is, that they are very immune to sickness and you don't have to take care of their health all the time. They were bred to fight bears and wolves and defend herds. A komondor is self-supporting, but not stubborn. |

I have a questoin for you expert dog trainers. I want a very well educated personal protection dog that only defends on command. Is a komondor capable of this kind of job? I know they are very protective, but I hear they are stubborn and dont want to listen very often. |

@Ddraig64 "swatting on the ass" as you call it is prehistoric, ggogle it, i truly dare you to "swat your 2 year old on the ass" in public everyday for a year and i guarantee you that at least 1 out of ten times you will have ppl reacting to your stupidity!!
you know that research as come as come to the point where they say that the occasional "swat on the ass" in fact is NOT good for children/animals and so on!!... |

@EnragedSephiroth It is funny you mention that because last night someone came to my door at 2 A.M in the morning and he was barking so loud they left. My wife said she felt safe because he is in the house. He is still not full grown yet. He will be the same size as that dog in the video. They are very smart and protective dogs good with family especially children. |

@EnragedSephiroth I own a Komondor my dog at 1 year is as tall as a Great Dane is at one year. When I seen this video I become afraid. He is huge now and still has 50 lbs to weigh as much as his dad. |

@DreamStars21 Thank you! The word you are looking for is companionship. A "good" dog is one that is your friend, not your pet. That is the only way to train while still maintaining happiness in the animal |

@Ddraig64 I think my point was clearly made seeing as you have nothing further to say. Maybe if you don't know what your talking about, you shouldn't say anything at all. But once again, you have a little brain and can't process that logic so your going to post some other dumb comment that further exercises your stupidity |

@MATTx602 Little brain, oh that hurts, you can't make a good argument so you have to get personal. I will be nice and not say anything about your little willie. |

OK I understand that if you have a chiuhuahua, this might be a little extreme, but look at the size of that dog, look at the neck on it, look at the way it is HAPPY to please, these dogs are notoriously stubborn and difficult to train, they are true guardians of the flock, not lap dogs. The trainer is firm with the dog, not abusive, I wish that you liberal pacifists would come to realize that just like raising a child, the occasional swat on the ass doesn't constitute abuse. |

I disagree with this type of "we must ABUSE, ring neck, jolt in circles" mentality to train or get a high potential dog to respect you. You'll never get my respect with your limited imagination and resolution to continue this prehistoric behavior. I bet even the cavemen found better ways to garner absolute respect and loyalty from their animal friends than you, fool, living in the dark with your animal slave. Do some research - your animal doesn't love you - it fears you. There are better ways! |

@Ddraig64 Any good dog trainer, which you clearly are not, would understand that this is abuse. There is a difference between obedience and compliance. A dog that is obediant is actually living in fear (fear that that little shit is going to CHOKE him). A dog that complies to your commands actually wants to please you and is happy. I don't expect your little brain to process that though |

|
Ddraig64
@MATTx602 That is NOT abusive training, notice how he jerks on the collar and then pats the dog on the chest. These are huge dogs and just slightly stubborn. Your dog has to understand and respect you, just imagine the results of one of these that was not easily controlled. |
