yeah, but the spikes are a little mean, so it being on backwards just chokes not stabs the dog. Dont say that I dont know shit either because I have 3 dogs. |

I also have a pit who was abused and he has done very well. I think over the years the hype has grown and so has the population of pits. Sadly with the BSL laws that are sweeping the US we will find more pits dumped and roaming the streets. Sorry so long winded but this cuts off after 500 words. |

Yes there are those who are to far beyond to help and sadly they are put down. But as with ANY animal you abuse them to the point of no return and there is no helping them no matter how hard or long you work with them. My last foster was a male who was used as a bait and was almost near death with most of his face missing. He now resides with a family and 3 other dogs he is doing awesome with them and it is been 2 yrs. |

True, the pits of today ARE different. Pits tend have a higher endurance than most dogs therefore they tend to be a bit more assertive when engaged in activity whether its hunting,playing etc. But I disagree with you in the point that they can't be turned around. I work for a pit rescue and I know SOME can some you cant. I have done it and worked with them had them as fosters and they have seen great families who KNOW how to work with them and love them as they should be. |
