I have an English Mastiff and shes the same way. A HUGE lovable baby! She loves to cuddle on the couch just like yours and pin anyone she can down for a bath. These dogs are gentle giants, soo happy i found mine! :) |

@SKMick60 You're exacty right in what you say about their temperment. Our Bullmastiff saved our son's life when he was 2 yo--and was gentle as a lamb with him. GREAT dogs when raised/treated correctly! |

Bullmastiff haters?? Is that another word for ignoramus? We had a bullmastiff, swear to God, also named SOFIE, and I would trust her with a newborn baby. If you come across an ill tempered mastiff/bullmastiff it either was a) poor breeding or b) poor treatment by a human. I have NEVER met a vicious bullmastiff. My Sofie only growled at ONE person in her entire life and that was a man walking towards us at dusk. My children would crawl over and take things from her mouth, never a sound. |

OMG! I couldn't believe when I saw this! We also had a bullmastiff named SOFIE! She was a dear part of our family for 10 years until she contracted bone cancer. When she became unable to walk because of the pain, we had her euthanized and her passing was very peaceful. She was the BEST dog I had ever known. My 2 sons grew up around her and never once did she show agression. Anyone who claims to be a "bullmastiff hater" obviously has never known one. |
