@Spartacusvsklaus depends on where you are... state-wise. I agree with the releasing-to-the-wild part, but of course you know that sometime, for a variety of reasons, an animal may not be eligible for release. Not saying this is the case, of course. |

@hippielettuce1988 Zoo's have breeding programs to help grow the wild population and educate idoits. But as soon as people get a tiger and keep it as a pet it can no longer be used for breeding purposes. And as soon as it's all grown up the owner will get tired of it and it will end up living out the rest of it's life in a sanctuary. |

@bigqueen07 There is a small window where tiger cubs are legaly allowed to be exposed to public. Judging by the cubs size it is past the age window. Also, real legit sanctuarys wouldn't allow crowds like that, it would be someting more controlled. And zoo's shouldn't be 'socializing' tigers, but instead sheltering them and keeping them wild so that they can be released and help grow the wild tiger population |

My comment was simply replying to that, stating that the animals don't need to be kept as pets to not become extinct, wildlife reserves provide a relatively safe place, with as little intervention as possible, for the animals. |
